Trouble with Permalinks: Category Post
Okay. First I had trouble with the sidebar and widgets and I'm still not sure why widgets are added when a category is added, but then don't work or available from the sidebar selection inside each post created. But I digress.
My current problem involves using permalinks so my clients don't get lost in the blog or website.
I added the appropriate page for all blog postings. I have categories that have posts in them and show up in the blog page.
When i click on the post it brings me to the appropriate page(post), but it takes me away from the page that I labeled the blog Name.
For example my blog page is labelled "Additional Help" .. When you click on the post on Additional Help page it takes me to
WEBSITE.com/category/post instead of WEBSITE.com/Additonal-Help/category/post
I tried to fix this by adding a category name "Additional Help" and then child categories under that. My first category post I clicked on worked perfectly and second second category post i tried linked good too, but when I only clicked the 2nd category on the sidebar it linked to WEBSITE.com/Additonal-Help/category/ and gave me a 404 error. The first category from the sidebar didn't give me any error.
Now i'm really confused why one category works, but no additional categories work. I tried changing the name of the second category or 3rd and creating a new 2nd category from the beginning, but still get 404 error when you click on the category name other than 1st category.
