How to make a background semi-transparent?

Hi, I'm working on cindysolomon.com/staging. The site is being built using Factory as a starting point. On the homepage, I'd like to make the background of the section that says "we make car elements since 1935" semi-transparent gray. How do I do that?

Hi,

You have maintenance mode enabled.

Please know that if the background is an image you will not be able to set its transparency.

If it is a color, you will need to use background:rgba(0,0,0,.5)

this means black 50%
