  Hi again,
  
  I have been working with child theme before - but hadn't noticed the missing functions file in the child theme folder, but I finally got it working - maybe you should add a prepared functions.php with this inside the child theme folder?

  function enqueue_parent_theme_style() {

  we have issues with using the child theme as well.

  We tried different things (among other we tried dennis' code above) and read your link to wordpress.org and a lot more… nothing helped so far and of course there are even more questions than before.

  
  

  do we have to change the functions.php? do we have to copy the content of the parent-functions.php to the new one and then change? 

  what do we have to write exactly in the functions.php? do we still have to use the @import… or is it old-fashioned? do we have to implement every .css file in css-folder (i changed something in the shortcodes.css) because of several .css-files instead of one main-css?

  
  

  maybe you can give us a short description, how it works concerning to your theme. Or just tell, what to write in the function.php file…?! we are not familiar with php and didn't expect to have to use it.

  @amtenbrink As you read on http://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes, @import is not a good practice now. This has been changed quite long time ago. But please explain what exactly does not work for you? Because if you mean "ALL", then this is not explanation for us. We must to know what exactly what you want to do and what exactly does not work. Because we always do all modifications as it has been described on http://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes and of course it works properly what means that something wrong must be on your side.
