Need excerpt...

Is there a way to display an excerpt using the Blog Slider? Those are 4 different blog categories. (Looking at the bottom 4 blog posts on beta.)
And is there a way to display the category title above the photo on those 4?
And instead of [...], can it display "Read More" at the end of excerpt?

Hi,

have you entered the excerpt on each blog post? There is a field at the botton of the post when editing it. If you do not see it, you need to enable it in the screen options (top right corner.)

The blog slider item does not have the excerpt option avalible.

So now on my home page the BLOG items (Youth, Family, Recruits, Business) are all text-centered....I want them all left aligned....

Also, in the Social section of sidebar, why don't the social boxes line side by side? I don't have a space between the code...

To have the shortcodes in one line, please place them all in one [raw][/raw] shortcode.

This problem is caused by the current version of wordpress.

To align the content left, use this css

.posts_group .post-desc {
	text-align:left !important;
}

The blog categories and archive pages use the same sidebar as the main blog page.

Perfect, figured that out (I didn't have a master Blog page setup yet.)

I may have found another theme bug...I'm trying to set the number of blog posts displayed on a page to 6 (Reading Settings) - when I arrow up (or type) the number 6 and click save, it reverts back to 4...???

You should set the number of posts per page in theme options>blog,portfolio&shop>blog, see screen:
