how to use span

i would like to use span instead of heading for better SEO
but this doesn't work
see example in first part of text here just after h1 <span class="h2style">

font-weight: 400;
letter-spacing: 0px;

please first disable all cache plugins and delete browser cache.

span seems to work on mobile ? ...

there was an error in my custom css
before my span style css forgot to close with } a code @media only
