How to remove search zoom and link icon on blog thumbnails

When you hover over the thumbnails, there is a zoom search icon and a link icon that slide up over the thumbnail. We need to remove/hide those. And we want the thumbnail a href link to go directly to the post, not to the image..

you can only disable it globally in theme options>global>general under image frame options.
