Make text white with custom CSS

How do I make all the text in the column items white? I've added "jobdesc" in the custom CSS class, but the CSS code I entered in the Betheme master style sheet is not working.

Hi,
please edit the section that the column is inside and set the section style to dark.
It will make all the items in the section white.

Sorry but there is no universal css solution for this.
