Site speed is incredibly slow - please help!

I've been working with my hosting company and they can't figure out what the issue is. Currently our site is loading at an incredibly slow rate, almost 25 second to load anything. Please let me know if you have any recommendations or suggestions to improve this as it is a huge problem.
