Highlight transparency in menu

Hey guys,

I have a menu and selected the 'highlight' style for it, however the highlight color completely overlays the text. How do I only make the highlighted color transparent? Example:

Hi,
the highlight color overlays the menu item because the active color link is also set to blue.
Go to theme options>colors>menu and change the active link color to white.
