How to add video and slider as feature image on blog?

How do I add a video and slider to a blog post so that the video or slider are the feature image and appear in the main blog page?

Like this:

HI,
there is no option for this. Only the featured images can be displayed.
If you change the post format to VIDEO and set the video in the page options then it should display also on the thumbnail in the blog list.

Thank you. I've managed to get the videos working, but i'm still struggling to get the post with slider to work properly.

Is there a specific post type I need to select?

Should I use a Revolution Slider or a Layer Slider? I've tried with both and neither seems to work. I can add them to the posts, but they don't show up in the main blog page. I would like to do something like this http://themes.muffingroup.com/be/theme/blog/page/2/ (the post with the 2 pictures)

If you select the slider option the featured image will be still shown as an simple image on the blog list, there will be no slider there.
