Slow Load Times

I have a few sites that I have used betheme on and each one of them get a really bad score when I test on google using their website here: https://testmysite.thinkwithgoogle.com

Are there things I should be doing other than adding a cache system to improve the load times to get a better page score? I have noticed load times to always be an issue with BeTheme and it has gotten way better in the last couple years but I see there are still some issues. 

What are you suggestions to avoid these issues? I have also tried to optimize my images but I guess I should probably try to optimize them more? There has to be a better way?
