Category Pages are all showing the same thing

Hi,

I have my website here - https://julianchemistry.com/

Under the blog drop down i have links to various categories, but they all list out the same thing although within each category i can clearly see that they have a different number of posts.

e.g.

https://julianchemistry.com/category/aboutjulian/

https://julianchemistry.com/category/featured/

Hi,

Please disable all of the plugins, clear the cache of the browser and check if the issue still exists.

I just realised it might be because it is always showing the Featured Blogs at the top, how do i turn that off?

Hi,

You had the 'Blog' item inserted in the blog page - that made the problem, because it displayed first three/four posts from blog on all of the blog pages.

I removed it and it works fine.

Hi, but on the actual blog page, i need to have the featured articles show up first, and the category pages, just show posts from the categories.

I do not understand, can you explain it greater?

It will display what you set in the Theme Options > Blog, Portfolio & Shop > Blog

It's not a good idea to insert the "Blog" item on the main blog item.

Okay, so in the main blog page I would like to have

1. Articles in the category "Featured" show up first, before showing the rest

In the individual category pages show only those in their own category

It's not possible to customize it that way.
All you can do is changing the order and displaying some categories.

If you want to display the "Featured" category first, then you have to use this "Blog" item, but it will not gonna disappear on category pages, because category page inherit the options from main blog page and we can do nothing about it - this is how it's work.
