Sidebar & Menu drop down

Hello,

1. I would like to have the functionality of when the mouse pointer hovers over a menu option then a drop down should come. But i dont know how to do this functionality in betheme. I couldn't find in the tutorials.
Example:
I need the menu function like in the below website: 
The below is how my website looks like:

2. In the side bar, I would like to display only specific categories and when the user clicks the category then the posts related to that category should get displayed.

Since i have different categories ,i want to make only specific category display in the side bar.

I am sorry if my question is very basic since i am new to creating website using word press. But i already checked the betheme tutorials tested all the functionalities. but the sidebar thing is very difficult and not much customization options are there. Especially with the look of the side bar. I couldnt even change the color of it.

Please help me.

    Hey,

    1. The submenus are a basic wordpress option, the theme has not much to do with this, we just make it look better. You can create submenus in appaerance>menus. Just drag the page "blocks" below other blocks. You will find many tutorials on the web about menu creation.

    2. This is also a basic wordpress setup. You need to first have a main blog page created. Then go to settings>reading and set this page as the default posts page.
    This will make the page the blog page, and your posts will load automatically so please do not add any custom items to this page.
    Then you will be able to edit your sidebar in appaerance>widgets, where you can add a category widget. It will display the list of the categories.

    I am new in Betheme. Just starting to create my site www.successpoint.ae I heard about this theme. Many professionals are using this theme.
