Hi,

It's the image in "Subheader". so first of all, you must be sure, that your subheader is not disabled.

You can check it in the Theme Options > Header & Subheader > Subheader

These options should be ticked off (as on the screenshot)

Then, just edit your single post and upload the image in "Subheader image" option in Page Options

Also, is it possible to add a translucent layer of color? So the title over the image stands out?

What exactly do you want to achieve. The text is not quite visible. You will have to change the subheader title font colors or prepare better images first, ones that will be darker or lighter, depending on your liking.

I want an overlay color for all the sub-header images. Possibly a dark color with opacity.

How this can be done?

Unfortunately, BeTheme does not have such functionality.

We suggest to edit your images with some graphic software (like GIMP, Photoshop) and apply that dark color layer at the image.
