Child Theme Not Working

I installed BeTheme & the Child Theme that comes with it. I copied over all the custom functions & custom header and footer files that I had in my previous child theme (which all worked fine). I added my custom functions to the bottom of the child theme functions.php file. When I click "Live Preview" in the WP Themes tab on the Betheme Child theme, I get an error that says "The site is experiencing technical difficulties." This happened also when I just installed the basic Betheme Child theme without my previous customizations. Please advise.

    Hello,
    sorry but if your custom modifications and code changes do not work while the child theme is activated then we cannot take responsibility for that. All code changes are not supported.
    Most likely there is a PHP issue. I suggest you move one file at a time and see when the issue appears.
