CSS differences between BeTheme Version 11.4 & Version 21.4.7

Hi, we've inherited a site from a customer and it was build with BeTheme Version 11.4. I had a problem where I couldn't make updates via the Muffin Builder, so I purchased the latest version of the theme and that has fixed the updating issue, but it has disrupted the CSS substantially.

As I'm unfamiliar with your theme and if possible, can you have a look at http://www.flickguard.com.au (BeTheme Version 11.4) and the copy with the latest version of the theme http://dev.flickguard.com.au (Version 21.4.7) and see whether there is anything quick I can do to fix the styling problems? (Just hoping I don't have to go through it element by element and make each change one by one).

Is it using the font setting from the Theme Options, or is it because it has custom CSS that now doesn't match the selectors?

Thanks,

Simon

  • Hello Simon,
Did you update the theme correctly?
Here is an instruction on how to update the theme:
    http://themes.muffingroup.com/betheme/documentation/#general
Theme updates will not delete your content unless you have changed the
files directly in which case we suggest using a child theme.
We also recommend creating a backup file.
Please remove the theme completely from your theme folder and install a
fresh copy. Do not overwrite files.
    thanks
  • Hi Pablo,

Yes, I followed those instructions. I deleted the old theme and uploaded the new one to replace it, but it had the same affect: some of the fonts are still tiny.

I tried Activating the new Parent theme, then activating the Child (the original developers did use a child theme), but that didn't fix it either.

    I have also created backups.

I've also checked and there is no caching installed.

Do you have any other suggestions?

    Thanks,
    Simon
  • Please try to resave the theme options.
It will update your theme options and everything should be working fine then.
    Thanks
  • Thank you! Resaving the Theme Options fixed it!!!
