    I did all that before posting. I'm leaning towards a server issue.I cloned the site onto an instance of WordPres on my siteground server, updated the theme to the latest version and it worked fine. This is happening on Godaddy Managed WP hosting. I tried updating the theme there and it did not solve the issue. I have a debug log going on the site if necessary.

    I really need an assist on this.. I just created a whole new siteground account and migrated the theme to it. With the updated theme, v.21.x the front end doesn't display at all. Backversioning to V.12.8 makes the front end appear, but you can't edit any pages. This is the new hosting instance

    I had to back version php to 7.0 and re activate betheme v 12.8 to make it work..

    Well, your theme is really outdated, it will not work properly with the php 7.0
    Please update it first.

    Theme updates will not delete your content unless you have changed the
    files directly in which case we suggest using a child theme.
    We also recommend creating a backup file.
    Please remove the theme completely from your theme folder and install a
    fresh copy. Do not overwrite files.
