I created a new page (pedal-party.com/blog) and assigned it as the WordPress blog page and it has a default background color (pastel purple/pink in this instances, see screenshot)
. How can I change the background color?

This color is set in section options. To change that, please, edit this page, click on first section options, and change the Background | Color.
