I want to start again
Hello,
I have purchased the BeTheme theme and really like it however for various reasons I want to start all over again.
I want to leave my current website in place while I develop the new version. My hosting provider is godaddy and I have the option to create a staging site. I have tried going down that path however I only seem to be able to use my purchase code (for BeTheme) on one domain which I assume is being taken up by my primary/current site.
I would really appreciate any advice on how to best "start again" using a theme I have already purchased.
Thanks
Scott

Hi,
All of the themes on the Envato market are under the same license, details: https://themeforest.net/licenses/standard
You can use one license per end product to use any pre-built website you desire or mix them, but you cannot use the theme license on two domains.
The only exceptions are for subdomains or subfolders. You can register unlimited subdomains with one license key, as long as the main domain is registered under the same key.
This also applies to subfolders on localhost installations.
Thanks
Thanks for the quick response Phil, appreciate it.
I am a bit new to this so trying to figure it all out.
Is there a better way I can "start again" without having to purchase another license? I'm happy with the product/theme I have purchased but just want to start my site again while retaining my current one until I am ready to publish it.
Thanks
Scott
You can create a subdomain as mentioned in my previous message.
If only you register your main domain, you can use your license on unlimited subdomains with fresh Betheme installations where you can start over.
If you do not know how to do this, please, check the following link:

Thanks Phil, I have managed to create a subdomain.
I haven't started yet but any tips, tricks or links to help young players apply a new pre-built website onto the newly created subdomain?
Thanks for your help so far, awesome.
Cheers
Scott

Hello,
Can you please provide a bit more information on how I can "start again" with my theme? I have now created my subdomain which is called staging.nexo.com.au? Please keep in mind that I have my website now using BeTheme but I want to start creating it again on my newly created subdomain.
Thanks
Scott
You should watch the video tutorial related to Theme Options, Muffin Builder, I strongly suggest to watch these videos below, they are must-watch if you are new in Be.
If you do not know how to install the BeTheme on new subdomain, please head to this ttopic:

Hello, I am back again as I've started working on this.
I have created a subdomain as you have recommended however I became stuck when I try to install Wordpress on that subdomain as my hosting provider (GoDaddy) only allows me to have one website.
I have spoken with GoDaddy and explained the outcome I am looking to achieve - i.e. I want to retain my existing website while I create a new version of this. They suggested I use the staging site (https://www.godaddy.com/help/whats-a-staging-site-12292) capability as this is EXACTLY what it is designed for. They can't understand why I wouldn't be able to register your theme to this staging site.
I really need your help in getting me to the outcome I am looking for, I am genuinely only wanting to use your theme on 1 website. Can you please provide some additional help?
Thanks
Scott
If you have your license registered only on the staging site, then there will be no problem.
You cannot have one license registered on two domains at the same time.
So, if your license is already in use, you will have to deregister it first to use it on the staging one.
Thanks
