Logo is pulled from pre-build website

Hi -

I used a pre-build website "mechanics" to set up my website. I deleted most of the content and changed pretty much everything including fonts, colors etc.

My new website has two menus, a german (main language) and an english one.

The logo in the german menu is still pulled from the old content from the pre-build website. To quickly solve it I deleted the original content in the folders and uploaded my logo under the same name as the pre-build website. Therefore the path of the logo is unchanged but the correct visual is pulled up.

Unfortunately, this does not work for the english menu and here no logo is displayed at all.

Also, not all browsers show the right size of the logo. Mozilla Firefox for example is displaying only a tiny logo.

I added screenshots to help. Let me know if I can help you with any other info.

I already uploaded my logo into the customizer under website design.

I also delete teh cache regularly.

Is there anything I am missing?

I appreciate any help. Thank you very much and have a great day!

-Fanny

  • Hi,

I have checked your website on Firefox and Chrome, and the logo did not show on any of these browsers.

Did you use any plugins to translate your website? If yes, can you tell me which one, please?

Please, go to Betheme -> Theme options -> Global -> Logo, and set up your logo there, even if it is selected right now.

    Thanks

  • Hi Phil -

thank you for your quick reply!

    I re-uploaded the logo under Betheme ->...->Logo.

I did use WPML to translate the site into english. I started with Polylang, but that created an issue with the english home URL, so I switched to WPML.

  • Is everything fine now?

I have checked your website in German and English, and the logo appears.

    Best regards

  • Yes - thank you!
