Lightbox pop up

Hello,

we have a slider on our website with a button that when clicked, pops up a video from youtube/vimeo. I added the prettyphoto in the rel attribute to get the lightbox effect, however it has recently stopped working and opens up the whole page instead. Do I need to change something in the attributes to fix this? Have been looking for solutions online with no luck.

Please, put it in the Classes field instead, and check if it works then.

It seems to be a problem with the video.

I have duplicated your slider, changed the link there, put it on a new page, and it works correctly.

Please, check if the video you are using does not have privacy restrictions.

thanks so much for looking into this! That's interesting, because I tried a couple of videos and they both had the same issues. It's good to know so that I make sure that's not the case for videos we link to.

I just switched the slider on our page to your duplicate and it's having the same issues.

Could it be a conflict with elementor ?

You are right. I was testing on a page without Elementor.

We found the root cause, and I fixed it on your website. Please, check that.

This fix will also be included in the upcoming update.
