Best way to update an old Betheme 17.8.2
Hello,
What's the best way to update an old Betheme version 17.8.2 to the latest 26.6 version. I tried to just upload the new theme but no settings where kept, site and admin crashed :-) so had to revert to backup.
Is there a specific prodedure to follow to keep the settings and layout (it was based on an old imported demo layout from betheme)

Hello,
It is very good that you prepared a backup before updating from such an old version.
Please, go to Theme options -> Backup & Reset in the Export field, click the Download button, and save the file on your PC. This file stores data about settings in your Theme options.
After that, update your Betheme as described in the documentation. If the same happens as previously, open the file you downloaded, copy its content, and paste it into Theme options -> Backup & Reset: Import -> Import from file.
