Sorry, but I quite do not understand.
Do you want to update only particular files?
If yes, it is highly not recommended.
Also, you should use a child theme if you modify theme files, and with it, no customizations you made will be overwritten.

Only in the cart.php file version number was changed, but except that nothing else was modified.
