Category Widget Not working

I'm currently using the Category Widget to filter posts but it is not restricting the posts because when selecting a category to view, I can also see a post with a different category.

when u select a category from the side bar, the first post that appears has a category named "latest news" and it shows all the time no matter which category you choose to filter- which i don't want.

We have checked your site already and we did not noticed anything like this. For us everything looks fine and we do not see any "Latest news".

Ok, now we got it. Did you created Blog page in accordance to http://themes.muffingroup.com/betheme/documentation/#blog? Because this could be the reason why 1st post appear always on 1st position.

I did make the blog in accordance to that page.

ive got posts on two different pages.

one pages shows activities and restaurants etc in the area of the B&B.

and the other page is the blog page which is going to show her latest news.

should i get a plugin to filter it correctly?

So if you did it exactly as we described in the documentation and you still got this 1st post, please send us private message with access to your dashboard and we'll see what you did wrong.
