Live Search and options

The search page seems like I must not have it configured correctly, or something is missing. I have activated the live search but as we have a lot of products the search takes a long time to return any results. It stays on the left side thinking for a while until it decides to return a result.

Despite having active icon | Search shop products only, the image icon does not appear and sometimes the product names are not aligned. How can we control or change these results?

Still related to the search, is it possible for the results to appear in a grid and not in a list? If this is not possible, is there any way we can customize this page, for example, make the titles smaller, images of the same size, etc....

  • Hi,

Please always attach a link to your website so we can check it out. If the page is offline(localhost), then our help will be limited. You will have to contact us when the page is online. Also, please make sure that the page is not under maintenance before you provide us with the link.

It is always a good idea to also attach a screenshot showing your issue.

    Thanks

  • 1) One of your plugins causes slow searching in Live Search. I disabled all of them (except WooCommerce, of course), and the results were found to be significantly faster. To find the culprit, disable your plugins one by one.

    2) You are using the Header Builder, so if you want to change the Search field into an icon, you need to edit the header template.

    3) If you would like to display products in a grid instead of a list, you would have to disable live search. Then, the style from the shop will be taken in the search result page.

Or you can style it with a custom CSS code.

    Best regards

  • Thank you very much, I deactivated all the plugins and it is now working fine. I disabled the live search and it already appears in a grid. Thanks
