images are different size. If you look into inspector, you will see the following:
This image is 960 x 720px while the other is 675 x 675px.
Please use Force Regenerate Thumbnails and this should help you.

It's working the same from the first day when was released.
So previously all my featured images had to be at the same ratio? otherwise it would break the portfolio grid?

so what size do all my featured images have to be re set too and uploaded as, to function on the folio grid??
When you upload an image to the media library there are automatically generated versions. You only have to ensure that it has aspect ratio as other images, and not smaller then what you set in Betheme -> Theme options -> Blog & Portfolio -> Featured Image.
