LIVE SEARCH DOES NOT SHOW WOO PRODUCTS

HI THERE

I need the LIVE SEARCH bar to search only pages and products on the website. The products were showing but now do not show... and I need to please HIDE CATEGORIES also in the search.

Website is in maintenance mode, I will have to give you backend admin access....

i have managed to get products to show but categories (posts) still show

    Sorry, it is the PRODUCT CATEGORIES we are now trying to HIDE FROM LIVE SEARCH as this is going to confuse customers when searching for products.....

    Did you attach a link to this forum discussion?

    By the way, please note that removing texts from the translations tab will not remove categories from there.

    A custom CSS code is required to hide categories in the live search.

    Hi, what is the custom css please we tried a few options it did not work! We have since used another search plugin but we are concerned there will be conflicts with betheme :( will send private message in a few minutes thank you.

    This is the CSS for that:

    .mfn-live-search-box .mfn-live-search-list-categories{
 display: none!important;
}

    Put it in Betheme -> Theme options -> Custom CSS & JS -> CSS.

    Hi there, thank you, this however brings up ALL OF THE PRODUCTS in one list and hides categories BUT this is bad UX as someone will search for Bolts and then get all the products.... which will be confusing... see below..

    You can limit the number of products that display there in Betheme -> Theme options -> Search -> Form:

    Hi there, that is not what I am asking.... we want to show ONLY THE PRODUCT THAT IS SEARCHED ....not all the products....

    Example: a person searched WELDING - I want only WELDING PRODUCTS to show.... If someone searched WELDING i don't want BOLTS and PPE and every single product also to show.

    I dont want to confuse a website visitor by showing all products and all keywords if they only searched for WELDING for example

    Sorry for misunderstanding. However, I checked that, and only two products shows in live search and on a search page after typing "welding".

    Should I proceed with any extra steps to reproduce this?

    Hi there, I wonder what changed? As I check it now it is working as it should only showing the product searched, so what changed? What did you do to fix it? As it was not like this before....
