Mobile Nav. will not disappear after clicking on menu item

Hi Support Team,

I have a one-page website with a mobile navigation (burger menu).

When I click on a menu item in mobile view, it correctly jumps to the corresponding page anchor.

Unfortunately, the menu remains open and is displayed as a bright overlay.

How can I adjust my settings so that the menu closes automatically after clicking on a menu item?

Thanks and best regards,

Sebastian

  • Hey Sebastian,

did you enabled One page option for the page you have anchors you're working with? In this tutorial https://support.muffingroup.com/video-tutorials/how-to-create-one-page/ I've explained where this option for the page is and how to enable it.

    Thanks for your comment!

Yes, the page with my anchors is a one-page site (this option is enabled).

I've identified the problem, but I can't seem to solve it. Here’s the issue:

In addition to the one-page site, I have an extra page for my imprint.

When I click on "Imprint" in the menu, the imprint page opens as expected – which is great!

However, the problem arises when I try to use the menu afterward. The anchors no longer work because I am now on the separate imprint page. I tried adding a "/" as a prefix to my anchor links in the design/menu interface (e.g., /#about), but this breaks the links on the one-page site instead—essentially shifting the problem.

So the question is, how can I use the one-page as start page and extra pages beside by using the SAME menu? Is that even possible?

Looking forward to your expertise—thanks in advance!

    Sebastian

  • Hi,

Please provide the entire URL before an ID, so it will look like this https://yourwebsite.com/#anchorID.
