Visual Portfolio shortcode does not work

I am trying to create a custom portfolio/image gallery in the Visual Portfolio plugin and then bring it into my BeTheme site via shortcode. I have created a "Saved Layout" in Visual Portfolio, and copied and pasted the shortcode into a "Code" element on my site in progress. the site seems to recognize the shortcode and is trying to load the Visual Portfolio content )VP logo and loading wheel shows) but it gets stuck and never loads. The temp url for the site is https://moccasin-partridge-301121.hostingersite.com/ and below is a screenshot of the what shows up

shortcodes supposed to be put into Plain Text element. CODE element if for code presentation and doesn't parse it.
