Urgent: Website Performance Issues & High Server Load with BeTheme

Hello Support,

Dear BeTheme Support Team,

We are experiencing significant performance issues, high CPU load, and occasional downtime on our website, which is built using BeTheme on WordPress. We have conducted a detailed analysis and identified potential bottlenecks, but we require your assistance in resolving these issues effectively.

Website & Server Configuration:

• Theme: BeTheme (Latest Version)
• CMS: WordPress
• Hosting: AWS
• Web Server: Nginx & Apache 2
• Object Caching: Redis (Separate instance with 8 CPUs & 16GB RAM)
• Database: AWS RDS
• CDN: Cloudflare
• Current Web Server Specs: 32 CPUs & 64GB RAM
• Previously Upgraded From: 8 CPUs & 16GB RAM → 16 CPUs & 32GB RAM → 32 CPUs & 64GB RAM

Issues Faced:

1. Frequent CPU spikes & high memory usage, despite server upgrades.
2. Redis-related connection errors (recently resolved, but still monitoring).
3. 524 & 503 errors during high traffic despite optimizations.
4. Excessive database queries from plugins & theme-related functions.
5. Cron jobs overloading the server, leading to performance degradation.
6. Theme performance concerns—potentially redundant database queries.

Actions Taken So Far:

• Disabled unnecessary cron jobs to reduce CPU load.
• Replaced some plugin functionalities (e.g., Social Chat, Sliders) with custom HTML & JS to reduce database queries.
• Shifted from WP Rocket to LiteSpeed Cache for better performance.
• Offloaded security functions to Cloudflare instead of using WordFence.
• Optimized Redis storage management to avoid large key sizes.

• Query Optimization: Are there specific theme-related database queries that could be causing high load?
