Megamenu width cannot be adjusted

I set the width of my megamenu to 75% as I do not want it as full-width and although the content is at that custom width, the section is still full-width. What am I missing to make the section follow the width I set so I can see the parts of page behind it?

Hi,

Instead of setting that in the Section options, please set the width in the Mega Menu template settings:

So I did as you suggested but now the megamenu is all squished. What did I miss?
