widget image size resolution very big (site speed)

Hey Guys,

i want to improve the Speed of my Site and the Google Speed insight Tell me that the Images would be the Main Problem on Desktop and mobile. the widget e.g. Project use a Image Resolution of 960px width. its very big!

Can you fix it in a next update to get a better Index-Number on Google Page Speed?

Hi,

can you explain what fix you recommend? Because as we know, there is nothing what can be fixed here. Or images are large and looks good or you make them small and then looks sh**y for visitors. We chosen 1st way because this is what 99% of users expect.

If i display projects in widget in 3 or 4 columns in full width layout i never need the high resolution of 960px width. Its only the widgets of all types which use such a high image size. 480px (50% off) would be enough i think.

Please send us url to page where you use project in widget and image is 960px so we can have a look on it.

Ok. So the images you refer to are used in other places and items of theme and that's why this is how their size looks like. And unfortunately this can not be changed because in many places where images are used, will be broken.

Is it not possible to add an short code to the snippet for project slider widget in functions.php or included framework?

Everything is possible but at this moment we got over hundred features in queue that must be made first. But of course while future updates we can consider this request.

I hope you can add those important seo features to your theme.

I have a few other seo solutions for you to improve a little bit more mistakes like a lot of h3 and h4 tags which i manually add as a hook.
