visual composer / muffin builder front end slow

Hi,

does anyone know why the front end builder starts to get very slow then unusable (chrome i think) after long use.  i havn't seen it myself yet but its been mentioned to me a few times.  i thought it maybe cache but the user shut down the pages & 2 hours later still just as slow.  latest time the user said that the rest of the internet seemed to be fine and that in another browser pages load.  i was else where and the server pages were loading fine so i dont think its server load either.
