Menu issues since update 9.7

I just updated to 9.7 using the envato update and while in the preview seemed fine, when the site went online, the menu has changed. It does not show the modified names and when scrolling down, all the text clumps together. I also can't rearrange the menu options (i'm using a custom menu with the below slider style). It also seems to not be opaque anymore as I scroll down.
