Theme Updates, Custom Code & Child Theme

We recently launched a website using the BeTheme and someone did some custom coding without creating a child theme. The handful of files that have custom code will be affected if we update the theme. If we knew all the files that had the custom code it would not be too difficult to update the theme. But, not all the files with custom code are known. Is it possible to clone the existing theme to create a child theme without breaking the live website with the custom code?

unfortunately we do not know any method to do that. Probably the easiest way will be to use software that allow you to compare files and check where changes were made.
