"Activate Mega Menu" checkbox not appearing in Custom Link options

I'd like to add a Mega Menu to my site. Following the documentation instructions, I've added a Custom Link, but then do not have the Mega Menu checkbox available as shown in the documentation. I'm using the Be|Factory install. Is there a setting somewhere to activate the Mega menu ?

Hi,
It only activates on the first level menu items. The screenshoot does not show the full menu.

I created a new menu, trying to replicate the example from the documentation - still no option for Mega Menu

NEW MENU example

one other difference, is that my Pages menu item shows as "Custom Links" where the documentation shows just "Links". I'm running the latest version of WP - version 4.7.4

Try to disable all plugins and check again.
