Child theme auto-deleting

I recently downloaded the BeTheme update from May 26th. To update, I went into WordPress, deleted the main theme (not the child theme), and attempted to install the update, but received an error message.  When I went back to my list of themes in WP, the child theme had been removed automatically (I did not delete the child theme manually). 

Is this an issue with the most recent BeTheme update?  This process worked perfectly fine in the past, so I don't think its a WordPress issue.

    Hi,
    Sorry but this is not possible, you must have deleted it by misstake.
    There is no possible way this could have happened.
    Have you tried it again?

    Sorry - it was disappearing, but it wasn't actually deleting.  When we restored the primary theme, the Child would re-appear.  Sorry for the confusion.
