header/menu partially hidden on /#start scroll - height changes

Hi,

The top section of my site is #start. On a wide screen, the header/menu has a height of 70px. If I click the menu item to go to #start, the page scrolls up to that top section, BUT, the header/menu is then partially hidden. And one needs to scroll the page a little up to have everything display properly (it shouldn't work this way) 

This doesn't happen on narrower screens, as the header/menu there has a height of 65px. 

It may has to do with your js. I noticed a fixed var top_bar_top = '61px';

I would appreciate your suggestions.
