Social media links - missing images/description

Hi, I'm using the Movie theme with no significant changes.

When linking to a PAGE from the website in Facebook/Twitter I am having issues getting an image to appear and no text apart from 'Visit the post for more' - see below...

IMAGE: I believe the image comes from the Featured image and so I have added these but some still do not appear - are there any size/requirements that effect this?

TEXT: there are meta descriptions etc but nothing appears apart from 'visit page for more', where should these words be coming from, is there a setting for this somewhere?

THESE ARE ONLY ISSUE WITH PAGES, BLOG POSTS ARE AS YOU WOULD EXPECT.
