capital sharp s "ß" displayed as ss

The german grapheme or sharp s "ß" in my megamenu used in an individual link (main link, not clickable) is displayed as "ss". The "ß" within the clickable submenu items are being displayed correctly. Any idea how to fix this?

third column of megamenu: On top "Heißkanalregelung" is with "ss" whereas the clickable menu item below displays correctly with "ß".

This is because the font in the title does not support the german characters. Please pick another google font that does.

Does it make a difference? Does the ss = ß ?? Just asking.

tried some different Google fonts but unfortunately even Theme fonts like Tahoma or Verdana display only with "ss". It's only that some of the ssuper-clever folks will think that I'm not able to write correct in German....
