Hello,
yes you can, just select the magazine header style.
Then you can add your banner in theme options>header&subheade>extras.
The banner can be any HTML code.

You can use this css

#Top_bar .menu_wrapper {
	background: red !important;
	width: 100% !important;
}

To make the menu even wider, please go to theme options>header&subheader>header and select the full-width option.

I dont want the header full widht only the background. with this code only the inside grid is red...

i want full width red but the menu items stays the same
