Header Theme Options Not Working

Hello,

I have installed the HR theme and would like the menu to display horizontally across the top with a white line underneath the selected link, just like in the thumbnail preview on the betheme website.

However, when I visit the preview site here http://themes.muffingroup.com/be/hr/, the menu is a dropdown; this is exactly what my site is displaying.

But I want the menu to display in the "classic" style  where all the links are visible across the top and for it to be sticky,  I have the header option set to "classic" and the sticky header option set to "on", yet it still only displays a dropdown menu.

here is a link to my site: http://www.huskarltranslations.com/
the only things I really changed so far is to hide the slider and the subheader.

Could you please tell me where I am going wrong? Thanks so much!

  • Hi,
So do you want your menu to always be scrolling and not be sliding down? We do not understand.
    thanks
  • I want the menu to appear horizontally across the top, I want all the links to be visible, just like in the thumbnail image on your website; i don't want the little icon that when you click on it opens a dropdown.

I also want the menu to be sticky,  so that when I scroll down the page I want the menu to always show at the top.

I want just a normal horizontal menu that is sticky. The green bar at the top of the screen where the logo, the menu and the contact us button is located should "stick" to the top of the screen when I scroll down the page.
  • Also, no matter which header style I choose from the muffin options, it always displays the icon which opens a dropdown menu, never a horizontal menu, with all the links across the  top of the page horizontally next to each other.

Please think of the header styles the betheme offers:
"classic" header style, where menu links appear horizontally, next to each other,
"simple" header style, where there is a three bar icon which upon click opens a dropdown menu

I want the classic option, and I want it to be sticky, or "stick" to the top of the page when I scroll down.

  • Here is a picture of what I want the menu to be (the menu on the HR sample site)

here is a picture that I have the header option set to classic

and here is a picture that I have the sticky  header option on
  • Okay but where is the problem because I do not understand, your menu is all right and the header goes sticky when you scroll the page.
  • Ok, I am not sure what you are talking about. I have cleared my browser cache several times, and my menu is still displaying as an icon that opens a dropdown upon click, and it is not sticky. This is not what I want.

Were you able to take a look at the screen shot of what I want the menu to look like? Here is another link:
https://prnt.sc/gsmzl7 (What I want the menu to look like)

Here is what it currently looks like:
    https://prnt.sc/gsn0e1 (not what I want)

Also when I scroll it doesn't stick:
https://prnt.sc/gsn23z (also not what I want)

This is getting a bit frustrating, as it seems from your website changing the header styles should be a pretty basic option for this theme. It seems the header styles are not working properly for me, for example if I choose "creative always open" the menu does not display vertically on the left like it appears in the option icon, it stays across the top but the sticky option works all of a sudden. If I change back to "classic" the sticky option stops working. and please note that I didn't touch the sticky option button, its always been on.

    please help

  • so I have used a windows computer with the chrome browser to check on it and now I see that it is appearing exactly how I want.

Any help for why on my apple computer in safari and chrome it doenst appear how I want?

Neither when I visit just the website or the wp admin does it display how I want.
  • Maybe this is beause your screen resolution is very low and the menu becomes mobile.
You can regulate the initial width value in theme options>responsive>header.

You can also set all the sticky mobile and tablet settings in theme options>responsive.
  • Ah I see, thank you very much for the assistance, its greatly appreciated .As this is my first time making a website there are bound to be some goofy questions :)  great theme!
