Help linking custom search.php & searchform.php (WooCommerce products display in search result)

Hello,

My client's site, https://eastkennedy.com, has a custom search function to show WooCommerce products in search results, and the search function works, but it is not directly linked to the header search function (when I search for products in the header search, it takes me to a separate page where the custom search is located). I want the header search linked to the custom search function. I imagine it's a small change to the coding on the searchform.php, but I've tried a few changes and they haven't worked. 

Help would be most appreciated!
