404 custom page not working?

So, I've created a custom 404 page but it seems not working.

I've set a custom 404 page in Theme Options > Pages > Error 404.

My custom 404 page is a regular page.

But when I go to a non existing page, I'm getting the default Apache server 404 page instead of the custom page, see screenshot: https://ibb.co/kRjBiG.

Any suggestions how to fix this?

We checked and everything is working fine, after entering a random page that does not exist on your server we got this: http://prntscr.com/hq0oy3

This is your custom 404 page. Try removing cache, it may be holding the default 404.

Uhm, but where is the menu, the footer etc.? I aspect you can see that also....

Sorry but the custom 404 page does not include the footer or the header.
