Updating the bundled Visual Composer?

Trying to update Visual Composer from the Required Plugins Installer in BeTheme, I get
"To receive automatic updates license activation is required. Please visit Settings to activate your Visual Composer."

I guess that how it's supposed to be as long as I don't buy a separate licence for Visual Composer?

It's listed as:

Installed version:4.7.4
Available version: 5.4.5
Active, Requires Update

Hi,
update the plugin via betheme>install plugins not in plugins>installed plugins.

Next time disable plugins and then run the update of VC.

BTW, you left the plugin disabled, exposing a few [vc_something] parts on my front page ...

Those are VC shortcodes, they will dissapear when you enable the plugin.
