  • In many themes the site title adds itself to the title of the page
Like: page title | site title
Can i make it work like that?

Now the site title is showing only if the page / post title is empty

    Hey,
settings>general is the only place to set this. Maybe the cache is holding the last settings, please remove browser cache.
    thanks

No i checked the cache, when i remove the title in the page only then it shows the site title (alone), when i write back text in the page / post title the site title disappear.

The website is based on the Wallet Template, and the configuration in this template is not showing the site title if there is a title in the page.

http://www.targumedia.co.il  (i think the server is blocking your country access so you can't see it)

I believe something in the Header.php is blocking the site title when page title exists and this its efected by the theme options > SEO  settings (use built in fields on) that is blocking the site title.
  • The pre built website you use does not matter in any way. The main settings matter. What do you mean by "template is not showing the site title if there is a title in the page."

Please try to disable all plugins, maybe one of them is causing this.
    thanks

Just what i wrote, if i add text in the page title seo section, the text in the site title  (Setting > General > Site title) is not showing.
If i remove the text from any page / post SEO section title, only then it shows the site title.
(I don't use any SEO plugin on the website)

On most templates there is a code in the header.php something like

        wp_title( '|', true, 'right' );

I don't see it in this theme header.php

    I can't even find wp_title on the header.php
  •  I have about 12 website with your theme, i checked another website and its exactly the same, site title not showing when there is a text in the page title.
  • Yes this is correct, this is how it works, the tagline is only a wordpress option and it seems it gets overwitten by the SEO title. I have checked that with the dev team and they said that you would have to use plugins like Yoast to make it possible.
    thanks
