Also, I want verticle separator lines between the menu buttons.

Hi,
you cannot bring it up, the menu has too much items or the item names are too long and it does not fit.
The separators between menu items can be set in theme options>menu&action bar>menu

I sent the same question on your betheme support and I was asked to reduce the padding between menu items. They also asked me to put this question at forum and your are telling me this is not possible to do.

I have shortened the link name to fit on the first line but I definitely have to keep the full name which is "Mediterranean Delicacies" at the moment it is just "Delicacies"

Like I susspected the padding method will not work, the word is too long, the only sollution is this:

Using this css

.header-split #Header .top_bar_left .menu_left {
	margin-top: 22px !important;
}
#Top_bar .menu > li > a span:not(.description) {
	line-height: 22px !important;
	padding: 0 15px !important;
}

You would have to change the menu item name to Mediterranean<br />Delicacies
