Import from localhost is not working

I recently purchased the theme and in the process of building my site on the local server. When i move the site from the localhost to the live site, the settings are not preserved on the wordpress database or settings. I even exported the settings on the Bethemes option and imported into the live site after replacing the localhost to my domain name. unfortunately nothing seems to be changed. Import function is not working. It would be really good if you could point to the right direction
