Demo content "homepage" is not saving changes to slider

Hi everybody,

we just installed the BE theme and playing around with it. We would like to set-up our own slider for the homepage of the demo content. Currently the system is not saving these changes when we set another slider from the menu when editing pages. We tried it with a page we created our own and it is working there.

did you checked if you are able to save other settings or not? Please check this and let us know if other settings also can't be saved.

Ich checked it with the new page we created ourselves, no issues on this one with changing the slider. I am running the site on a dedicated server

So if you are not able to save settings on one page only, it means that max_input_vars and max_post_size values should be increased on server because at this moment this is limited. In this case please contact with your hosting administrator.

We booked this server and we have got full admin rights. Could you please tell me where I find these variables?

We don't know where exactly because we are not hosting administrator. Our admin is always doing such a changes for us.

just found two places where this would fit: php configuration or .htaccess

No, this is not a wordpress config. This can be sorted on hosting/server side and that's why we told you that you must talk with hosting administrator.

Yes but it is a dedicated server, we are the admins so we can change anything, our hoster cannot configure anything so please let me know where these parameters are to be found. php config, .htaccess, apache config?

Probably in apache or .php config but because we are not admins, so we are not 100% sure.

looks like you can overwrite the max_input_vars with htaccess. are you sure with "max_post_size" or is it the "post_max_size" parameter? have you got recommended values?

We meant post_max_size of course. We always mix them. If it is possible with .htaccess then fine but to be honest we have never seen this solution in .htaccess file.
