Looking to add external links to a menu

Hi,

We're looking to add external links to our footer menu i.e. our social media profiles.

At the moment we can only see how to add pages to the menu's.

Is there a way of making the icons more prominent? They are currently quite hard to see and I can't see an option to alter?

Also, can just general external links with a title be added to menu's?

There is no option for the size, you can only change color in theme options>colors>footer

You need to go to appaerance>menus and click on 'screen options'
Then you will see more option for the menu items http://prntscr.com/jcci14
